Truth Be Told
I tell it to you in confidence because I know
your lips would never kiss and tell.
more then nine lives lived as an underdog ,I
couldn't understand what eyes, mouth , and ears
could be trusted in this world?
look into some of them and see everything except
the existence of a soul.
actions that can speak with the same volume as words,
a touch that can go deeper then the fabric of our clothes.
listen to me when I say there is no love to be found in a
stranger when a reflection begins to look unfamiliar.
who can say that they'll never let you down and be trusted
besides the face on the other side of your mirror?
no one will when a "will" can go no further then exhaling
a breath of fresh air.
the destinations I sit for a moments rest will continue to change
so has life became a game of musical chairs?
sing me a sad song while I bop my head and tap my feet
to the rhythm.
could you believe the day you run out of words to sing
there will still be thousands of eyes, mouths, and ears still willing
to listen.
