Truth

I want to scream, to yell,
I want to lose myself in sound,
no one knows ME!
they see me,
but they do not care,
they turn away.
are they such fools?
Why do they not care?
I might be a treasure,
an agate, a bud,
Hidden from sight,
You must go past the mask,
see my hidden face,
my true face,
See the face I hide,
My heart, my soul,
Great beauty hides here,
if you have courage,
you can see past my thorns,
past the barriers,
to the hidden treasure,
to who I am,
I am a precious jewel,
I am all who you see, but I am also those who you don’t see.
