Truth

I adorn myself with Truth's dress
And go about with my chores
As calmly as would a Queen,
Well aware that the arrows that my enemies
Hurl at me would not touch me
For,
Nothing is mightier than that dress!

I walk about, toil and slave myself
With indulgence
For, life is an opportunity
And we are given only one to prove
To the skies that we shall use this opportunity
To transform into purer versions of ourselves!

And while being at it,
I mind not those friends who leave the grip
Of my steady hands,
I mind not the choices that they make
For,
Truth prevails as long as it revered
And shines brighter than even the sun
When lies get exposed
And the whole world becomes mortified
At what was being hidden!

Pray,
I side by Truth
May it be my breath
May my heart beat with its tempo
May my soul be wrapped with its glow
Yes,
Truth,
May it be my cause and may I
Be remembered as one who lived by its word!
