Trusting Love

Every hateful and harmful thing spoken, I will spit you out,
I have no room in my heart for this doubt,
I refuse to injest, I will throw it away,
I will stand up against it to see love again,
When the winds beat against me or the ones that I love,
I will trust through the tears of compassion from my father above,
If my feelings get hurt I will not pretend not to feel,
Because underneath all that pain the love is very real,
And when tears start to fall I'm reminded I'm alive,
That I have no doubt or regret and nothing to disguise,
You could be placed on my heart from a million miles away,
Or you could be standing right across from me face to face,
And my heart will not budge, for the love remains the same,
Even when you don't seem to see it this way.
