There is a heartbeat that I hear,
new beginnings for a brand new year.
Listen! It's beating in you and me,
faint, but steady, new life to be.
Beating! Beating! Beating!
Growing stronger day by day.
Pushing past our yesterdays.
Letting go what can't be changed.
Trusting God, new life arranged.

Suicidal? No! Choose life instead.
Trust in God. Believe there's good ahead.
