Trust Renewed


When among friends
trust is sacred

It is the glue that binds our souls
and makes everyone know 
that they are loved

To break trust 
is to split water
an evil incarnate 

But to renew trust
when one has faltered
is so difficult and challenging

Though it can be done
for providing trust 
is the same as saying
I love you

Profound and deeply true. Love the imagery "to break trust is to split the water" very powerfully worded. And the ending is very tender and warm. Going to add as a fave ;)

Dear Robert, This is such a profound and well written poem on trust and importance of keeping trust alive etc which is not always easy, i have trust issues too so i felt this poem deeply and to build and mend something broken is never easy, but to trust blindly is so very easy for the naive and the ones giving selflessly.
