Trust
Written: by Tom Wright
February 2015
Spin has tarnished my trust in others,
Few people do I trust,
And no business, bank or institution;
Everyone seeks a competitive advantage,
And is willing to tell half truths,
Or hold back information,
While spinning things to their advantage;
Telling you it’s for your betterment,
Most do what they can legally get away with.
The sooner you realize that the establishment
Does nothing for you,
There’s always an ulterior motive.
Each time I hear, “It’s for the good of the American people”
I cast a suspicious eye,
Spin has bequeathed to me
The death of trust,
A sad place to be;
