Truly the Best
A raindrop on the ground,
The air is pushing through,
I don't know what I did
To get a mother like you,
I never went without supper,
Or clothes on my back,
My momma is one
Who doesn't know how to relax,
There was never a mess
In our lovely dome,
It was cleaned from top to bottom
Before us kids got home,
She even went to college
While still caring for us kids,
It is a wonder to this day
How she ever closed her eyelids,
As problems would occur
She never gave up hope,
Loving us three kids
Is how she would cope,
Though there are times
That I start up a fight,
She is the main reason
My life is going right,
So now I take this moment
To give thanks to my mom,
Not only for giving birth to me
But for raising me to be strong!
