True You

People believe kindness is weakness,
I understand that some try to take advantage.
It only happens if you let them,
At the same time this is how you learn.
You end up not trusting people, even if they say their your friends.
There's nothing wrong with being kind... to an extent.
if you never learn, or you're being fake,
It's not the true you, be genuine or you'll break.
If you don't mean it from the heart you'll never be happy,
At the same time, i know, you cant please everyone that you meet.
But if you love what you do, then you'll see.
We're not all bad in this world,
there's still a few left that are good and true,
Life throws us for a spin and a whirl,
but few remember to be the "true You."
