Notes About The Poem

3/2/2025 for Bitesize Contest No103 Poetry Contest sponsored by Line Gauthier

True Love's Dilemma

A prince was heard to cry and wail,
lamenting the sad fairytale
into which he had been born.
Why was this gentle lad forlorn?
His true love's kiss, against his will,
instead of giving life, would kill.

Romance gone haywire is pretty scary. Your poem carries a warning. Thumbs up.

It's a common saying. You don't have to give credit.

haha - thanks Hilda! I like that phrase, romance gone haywire. If I steal it from you someday, I will give you credit!
