True Love

I knew it was true love because of the way our hearts matched when our eyes met

As we starred at each other to find ourselves, the other half of the puzzle

They say when two hearts become one you can see angels in real life

Because being in love takes you to heaven, your kiss, your hug, feeling something some search for but never find

And I knew it was true the way you kissed me when we were mad, held me with compassion when we were sad

Never letting go even though the past was bad, thus the past turned into ashes as our love became our everlasting flame

With you fire burns my skin but never leaves a mark because love was true until death do us part

p.s. I’m glad God saved you for me…
