True Friends

Someone once told told me to listen
Someone once told me to do my own thing
Some one once told me to do my best

So I did listen
So I did do my own thing
So I tried to do my best

but then you came along

You moaned when i was listening
You copied my own thing
You criticised my best

but now i have learnt

that you were jealous because I could listen
that you were jealous because i could do my own thing
that you were jealous because my best was better than yours

but then you turned nasty

called me nosy because i could listen
called me a beeatch for doing my own thing
called me a teacher's pet because they liked my best

but now i know who my true friends are!
