True Friend

I am sorry my friend for the fight we had,
it did not mean a thing.
The things we did and things we said
really caused some pain.

For four long months,
you have helped me though, many hurtful things.
You gave me food, a place to sleep
and kept me from the rain.

If you choose to end this, I can understand.
It has been a long hard road;
it has taken its toll
And will hurt a lot to end.

Through broken hearts that were torn apart
you have always been,
the truest part from the start
you were really a true friend.
