True Confessions

Honey, I have a confession to make: I am merely human and made a mistake; Twice I’ve cheated on you, quite honestly - Both times when we played Monopoly. Dear, I cannot live with this lie; I wandered off, now I’ll tell you why; The other night when I said I was working late - I went to a restaurant for a high cholesterol plate. Lover, there is something I must tell; I haven’t always behaved so swell; I have lusted in my heart - For you on nights we’ve been apart. Sweetie, the truth I must let out; Please don’t cry and please don’t shout; I haven’t always been honest with you - I love your red dress but not the blue. I hope my indiscretions don’t make you sad; I know cheating and wandering is awful bad; A better man I’ll try to be - If another chance you’ll grant me.
