True Beauty
Let only God show
where the truest beauty lie,
For man made colors can’t compete
with the bluest sky.
Painters mix, and painters stir,
but not one will come out right
In capturing the beauty
of a quiet dove in flight.
And even the greatest poets
with their rhyming phrases
Cannot do the heart justice
to how mother earth amazes.
The musician with his chords
cannot, to his surprise,
Make you feel the way you feel
with moonlight in your eyes.
Even love is stronger
than the thickest plate of steel,
And sorrow runs much deeper
than the ocean can reveal.
We search and pray and ponder
over life and what we see,
But stand back and take a look
at what in life comes free,
For that is what we take for granted
each and every day.
The beauty is all around us,
and hope has come to stay
Count each and every sunset
as miracle in itself,
And you will see, that alone,
will be your greatest wealth.
