The scripture 1Perter 3:3-4, reads, 3). Do not let your adornment be merely outward—arranging the hair, wearing gold,or putting on fine apparel—- 4). Rather led it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.

As a young girl having fallen in love with the Lord, there were many things that I cannot number, the reason. I remember an essay assignment given when I was in my Junior or Senior high school. It was to choose an author written on the board, check out a book written by them, and thereby do my essay. Well, I chose the Author, Corrie Ten Boom. I liked her funny name, and I thought, with a name like that, the book would have to be interesting. The book I read written by her was, “Not I, But Christ.”

This book brought me to tears, reading about her work for God to save her Jewish fellowman from persecution by order of Hitler. It changed my life. It planted something deep inside me that later bloomed into a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a love for the word of God. And the scripture above was what I wished to pattern my life in the likeness to. I found it easy to do, because I was already quiet natured and shy.

I was certain now that living a life loving Jesus, for having the greater love for me was the life for me. He laid His life down for me, and His Word says, there is no greater love than this. He is my hero. He is the Light in this dark and scary world. If this is the woman He wanted me to be... I wanted to be this woman.

TRUE BEAUTY

To the eye of the beholder,
True beauty rarely seen,
She captures none with flirting eyes,
Her attire does not demean.

Her presence, soft, as of a dove's,
If you're careful enough she'll stay,
Few there are that recognizes,
her worth this very day.

Her words though few, her silence speaks loudly,
Never deceit or lies within,
Her Angels are there and walk beside her,
For one tear they will defend.

A hidden Truffle, rare to find,
An oyster's treasured pearl,
Her love, more excellent than wine and riches,
This very precious girl.

The prideful man may never find her,
and know the loving ocean in her very kiss,
For few eyes or lips will ever taste and see,
True beauty such as this.

A woman of God, woman of virtue,
blessed is the man to add her to his life,
He has received great favor from God,
An ornament of true beauty for a wife.

You caught me from the beginning with this one Lovie. Beautifully written and, as I suspected from first verses, Divinely inspired. God bless. Bob
