Rainbow trout, rainbow trout so long and stout Dancing at the end of my curved small hook So excited I'll jump round and shout Then for handsome baby Johnny I'll cook Green-eyed baby Johnny will dine just fine He will have applesauce on his left side Hushpuppies fried, grapes from garden's vine Then slowly to sleepy-land he will glide February 28, 2023 For Eve

A delightful nursery rhyme, Sara. I only ate trout once, when I was holidaying in the Lake District (England). I think it was a brown trout. ~ Congratulations on your fine win. Regards // paul

I love this poem. I manage to eat trout twice in my life, but not in Malta. We only have salt fish.

Is that saltwater fish or fish packed in brine. I really am not fond of trout because it is very fishy. I have eaten trout almondine and that is delicious. Thank you for your nice review. Sara
