Trouble In Paradise

There's trouble in paradise
She notices a perturbation down below
It is there, lying in the darkness
The subconscious drives that disrupts her logical flow

It happens so slowly
And it advances so fast
Before she knows it, she's there
Desperate, she prays it won't last

Her brain has been hijacked
Her bodies out of control
Oblivious, confused
There presides beast she didn't know

It’s not the monster in her dreams
It’s not the one under her bed
It’s the fear she won't acknowledge
The fact, it’s all in her head

When you accept the drives
You diminish their hold
You regain your sanity
A strong self-esteem is a wonderful thing to behold

The reality, there is no paradise
There's no Cinderella story come true
There's only perception of self
Work on this, and all your dreams will come to you
