Trouble At Sea
This is dedicated to the one I loved
The hospital truths that are never spoken
White tape and hazy drugs
A look from the past
Presuming the unpresumed
You have rattled the ships beneath the murky waves
You are riding the storm
In my name, my clothes, my badges of honour
Grasping at my source
And choking me dry
So I’ll leave you with the TV
The widescreen
The lost hopes and dreams
The dream home
My land and bone
You can have the furniture
The flat packs that we made
The lost weekends full of remorse
The lies you fed me to pretend that you cared
The debris in my heart it clears
And now I see
That you cannot take any more from me
