Trophies of Victory
“ Now this I know: The LORD gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.” Psa 20:6 NIV
We are His trophies of victory—
Saved by the blood of the Lamb;
Comforted and encouraged to persist,
as redemption lives out its program.
The mysteries of grace
Now unfold before our eyes.
The coronation of our King;
Our Lord ever willing to advise.
Other worlds beyond our universe,
Marvel at this solitary planet;
Christ’s sacrifice on the cross—
God’s saving grace our blanket.
For we are his trophies
From a world lost to evil.
Trophies of victory,
Brought back from the side of peril.
We are human trophies,
Not meant to sit on a shelf,
But be working in God’s vineyard,
For others and not for self.
The rewards are so precious—
More souls saved by grace;
To live in the kingdom
Of our Saviour face to face.
As trophies of victory—
Victors in our Lord,
We honour our Saviour;
Our victory to afford.
Without God’s amazing love
And the sacrifice of his Son,
We would not be victors;
forever evil would have won.
