Trip to Virtues' Hill

A trip I'm glad I took --- taught me so well indeed To reach virtues' hill, bearing goodness' creed Having no short cuts midst obedience-deed Such is a must --- to learn lessons I need.
The trip let me appreciate heaven's rain While refreshed despite vexing fatigue's blight Making me see sign, "Contentment is great gain" Trying to cheer up my complaining sight. Driving with peace along calmness' terrain My faith was propelled toward kindness-flight Slowing down pride of arrogance-pushed might To overcome self-glorying woes' pain.
Oh, this trip has taught me so well indeed To reach virtues' hill bearing goodness' creed Taking no short cuts midst obedience-deed Such is a must --- to learn lessons I need.
I thank the Lord* for a trip with His light Midst paths I trod on, whether rough or plain Since He brought me to ministerial height Against selfishness of stubbornness' stain. The trip for virtues' exposure delight Conquered my heart's fear of cowardice-strain. Empowering me to do what is right Prayerfully fulfilling blest role's reign.
Yes, I'm glad this trip taught me well indeed To reach virtues' hill bearing goodness' creed Having no short cuts midst obedience-deed Such is a must --- to learn lessons I need.
