Trini's Lemon Tree

You played a small part in “The Dirty Dozen”. However, I never saw you in a movie again. You had some more success in the recording studio. There are a couple of hit songs I am happy to know. Those are, “If I Had a Hammer”, and “Lemon Tree”. Both songs have pleasant lyrics and melody. Years later, those tunes still appeal to me. Well, I can relate to your song “Lemon Tree”. A sad episode recently happened to me. What I went through bears strong similarity. I met a woman I mistakenly thought was true. Suddenly she absconded and bid me adieu. Well Trini, I have a good idea how you feel. My similar experience unfortunately was real.

Hi Robert - This is a great poem bringing back wonderful memories. I loved Trini Lopez when I was a kid. He also did a terrific rendition of La Bamba! Best wishes, KC
