Abracadabra Rhyme
Created by William Kekaula. The syllable count is your choice but must be the same for all eleven lines. abRacadabRa is the rhyme scheme, and the lines with the R's are reversed lines. All lines must be rhyming with the exception of lines 'c', and, 'd'.
Three delicate white petals plus three green leaves
describes Ontario's official flower.
Songbirds migrate back to sing in early spring,
and depending on the rain the ground receives;
trillium carpet the scene with white blossoms.
When icicles no longer cling to the eaves,
fresh fragrances of spring saturate the air.
And snowmen soon slip away like frightened thieves
seeking shelter from a warm April shower.
In early spring, songbirds migrate back to sing
above tapestries, the white trillium weaves.
