Trifle

I ask this of you
Never to trifle with my affections
My precious little heart can't hold it
For a caprice it's not built
It's banks are full to the brim
and the walls are but weak
Please do not break my little heart
There's not even one unscrupulous bone in me
If you do not fancy me, let me be gone

I see that you've been overlooked and left without one comment... until now. Your poetry is worthy of being read and acknowledged. Don't let it frustrate you, just keep writing. Maybe look into entering a contest or two. Best wishes, Aheri.
