Trick Or Treat
i put on a mask for halloween
it was a beer
and a shot of booze
it made me smile
and two step
and walz
it made me forget
that i was unhappy about who i had become
the mask didn't last as long as i'd wished
as the night too ended
with nothing more
than a morning so bright
leaving me to nurse my truth
and hangover
i put on a mask for halloween
at what price did i pay
and the end of it all
when the music was over
when i found out i could not sing
that i didn't ammount
that my dreams were just dreams
and my words only words
i put a mask on for halloween
