Trick Or Treat
Ghosts, goblins, witches
Costumes that give a fright
Trick or treat the familiar chorus
As they scurry around on this night.
House to house they run
Screaming with delight
Wondering what treasures they’ll find
Underneath the next porch light.
Haunted houses everywhere
Creatures lurking in the darkness
Frightening the children as they pass
Leaving them almost breathless.
Darkness, fear, exhaustion
Will not waver them from their quest
When bags are overflowing with treats
Only then is it time to rest.
