Trick Or Treat!

Can you smell the warm wax from the candles so bright? Or see the winged creatures flying high in the night? Is the wind blowing briskly and chilling your bones? Does the nip in the air make you shiver and moan? Then perhaps it has happened again as before The children come knocking all night at the door. The leaves on the ground swirl around all their feet As they run to each house, Trick or treat! Trick or Treat! "Its open" I call down the hall as they knock Just listen and hear the great chimes from the clock. I put all the candy and treats on the chair Its there over-flowing, look in if you dare. Please enter reach in take a handful or two. Take more if you like, I made them for you. Its "All Hallows Eve" and a long nights ahead filled with laughing and chanting and waking the dead. So don't be afraid all is not what it seems Its only pretend time, its called Halloween!
