Tribute To the Lion of Mogadishu

TTribute
With many echoes I step my boot out,
To go and make our country a better place.
I smell smoke, hear war drums and see fatalities
I do it for you, myself, our predecessors and descendants.
I will surely blow the horn of victory.
I will surely return home in colors.
To my comrades (my responses) in the fog of war:
If I go down after the victory:
Put me in the colors of my country, take me home.
Tell my father that I was the man he always wanted me to be.
Tell my mother that I always remembered her in detail.
Tell my wife that she is beautiful and I kept our promise.
Tell my son that I liked his milk teeth and bold baby steps.
Tell my daughter that she will always be my princess.
Tell my little brother that he can have my hunting grounds.
Tell my sister that there is a prince who will treat her like I did.
Tell my boys that I made it and will now hunt with our fore fathers.
Tell my country that it cost me to have the victory,
And I did it with pride and modesty
Tell the next generation that I was a soldier, a father, a child, a brother, a friend and countryman.
I was born to do this; I do it with inner peace
Let the writer do his job.
Rest in Power
