"tribute To Himingway"

Ernest Hemingway; Him had his way, Earnest Hemingway. Not much a poet I would say, I like him anyway... Had so many things to say. Though married many wives, Couldn’t keep em, For with other women he was sleeping! I know for in his Bio… I’ve been peeping, And into his writing style… I’m slowly creeping!

I enjoyed some of Hemingway's work also but I don't think that I have read his poetry.I have read some of his short stories. He had an illness called bronz diabetes. It was a blood illness like he had two many red blood cellsIt causes insanity.Sad for he had such a gift. His granddaughter has to watch her diet to try to keep from coming down with the illness.I am glad that I chose this one to read. Thanks for stopping by "He Brushed". Is actually about the wind in comparison to a fickled person.SK

Hemingway is not one of my favorite writers. His novels are always so dark. There's no way a spiritual soul like you would want to emulate him. You're in a class of your own, John, but I did enjoy the humor in this poem. Love, Carolyn

Amazingly beautiful Poem my friend. I am also a fan of Ernest Hemingway. I have read only one of his short story, which was actually in my course book but the memory of his style & writing & the beauty of that theme ( I even do not remember the title now) often flashes in my mind and I feel so refreshing. Thank you for remind us this great writer once again with some of his own limitations in his personal life. Great write to keep his memory alive. Love and best wishes...Ravindra. .J Freeman

He was an odd duck all right, what little I have read of him. I recall one really good short story, Hills Like White Elephants. We studied it in h.s. My first look at deep symbolism. The hills represented a woman being pregnant! (at least my teacher told us so, haha) good poem. LUv, Andrea
