Tribute To Charlie Daniels

Charlie went up to heaven... He and his soul of steel He said "If you don't mind I'll leave my music behind... I made that devil a deal" He came across him when he was young Sawin' on a fiddle playin' it hot He won a fiddle of gold against his soul A lesson the devil never forgot Charlie rosined up his bow... And he put the devil to rest Still, till this day even with his wings Charlie Daniels played the fiddle the best (R.I.P.) Charlie Daniels... The "Long-Haired Country Boy"

Oh, I just loved his song about the devil fiddling against Charlie in Georgia! You tied in aspects of the song very well, Charlie, and I could almost hear CD playing that smoking fiddle. Great write, my friend! Hugs, Carolyn

The notes that soothe the soul...If he's not playing in heaven, then he's back here on earth...

Enjoyed reading this to the tune of "Devil went down to Georgia" which was number 14 hit here in the UK in '79. He was a great singer.
