Tribute to Buddy

my older dog is a cross between a great Dane and a German shepherd
his neck is massive; I can barely get my arms around it
it probably measures more than my waist
and I am not petite

Buddy is well-behaved
a gentleman dog
thrilled he has found his forever home with us
after some horrible people dumped him

I screamed when I saw him the first time
He has the amber eyes of a wolf
and the largest teeth I have ever seen on a dog
He can chew through tin cans and he does
