Tribute To a Poet
You are a confident poet, who understands doppelganger whimsy.
An optimist with a belief in the power of the Lord, you believe in fairies.
A lone wolf, you are possibly divorced or separated, with a new love.
A woman whose heart has captured your own; and she sings well too.
Unafraid to write unpopular subjects like hell, grim reaper, and torture.
Your imagination takes you places some poets could never hope to go.
You do not like cleaning, but you do love rainbows and your lazy Tom cat.
A protector of women, you want to be a life-long partner, a husband.
You write of warrior women, and they are strong and super confident.
On the flip side, you write of women who are wolves in sheep’s clothing.
I feel you may have been burned by one of those in a sad painful way.
A friend has also betrayed you; thus “true friends are like unicorns”.
Your imagination is keen and your pen is sharp, thus reading was fun.
Your forty-five poems were easily read due to your sense of humor.
I applaud your poetry and shall now be a follower of you for sure.
I jotted several notes, and for sure will be taking your ideas in new directions.
