Tribute To a Library Patron

she moves slower but not her smile
her heart speaks in rhythmic sage
her umbrella is her hands of praise
accepting a bouquet of flowery rain

I used to love spending time in the library; I'm lucky now if I can decide on a couple of books that are actually on the shelves; usually what I want to read is checked out seemingly, forever or plain lost. Quite a lovely write.

We have a pretty well stocked library! Of course new books are circulating with holds. <3 Kim

I envy those who are spending hours in a library; I have not done this in a lingering, all-day kind of way since the late 60's, in the summer, when I was collecting books of all kinds. I was limited to seven each check-out, so I was morbidly selective.

Now, at least our library, allows 50 checkouts!
