Trees Stand Like Naked Gods

Frozen trees stand like naked Gods, and because I am a curious poet, I start thinking of rooted gods. Gods that are encompassing, seed-bearing, sheltering, life supporting, blossoming, sky inhaling, earth exhaling, ground firming, room offering, reach confirming, water retaining, fire to ash feeding, eye inspiring yet lowly as the soil they share their spirit with. Gods, that even while frozen and naked remind me of the immortality of all mortal things.
