Trees of Our Forest

Trees in a mindbody forest
work together in hidden ways
and through this cooperation
increase their shared resistance to disease.

In this way,
densely polycultural forest systems
with mature synergetic resistance
co-evolve even more robust
and mutually resonant;
not might makes right
but more like right relationships merge 
cooperative flowing sight.

This fertile co-intelligence 
is an integral face
of diversely held resistance
to monocultural degeneration.

A glass half empty of mistrust
also half full of trusted relationships
emerging democratic health.

We used to have a bicameral legislature
that worked together in personal and public ways
but now votes more for less win/win cooperation
thereby winner v loser reducing our resistance
to mutually terrorizing environmental pathologies,
averting co-passionate choices
informed by climate resonance.

Dumb as a decaying post,
our anthropocentric swamp
behaves less co-intelligently 
than a tree.
