Trees Fall

Trees Fall

Trees fall over cliffs, into seas, into holes
They fill volcanoes with brown and green
Aided by strong winds that take them down
Leaves burn at their leisure to perfect smoke
Branches fly without a single feather heavy
Normally trees stay in one place
Roots hold them down to grow
God knows how to make a tree
He does not teach them to fall in love
Though they keep on falling any way with snow
Falling is what they do best
They simply love it
Over cliffs and into seas
Trees prefer to fall
According to the word on the street
They make perfect lumber
Another house is needed
So remember every tree must fall
Until it all is over and construction is completed
