Trees

This world is getting angry
I see wars are still happening
People dying everywhere
I can feel the earth is shaking
It show us how much it’s angry at us

In our human shapes,
We can look as strong as a rock
Steady as a pillar, glowing as gold
But within our hearts,
We are in battle with the pain and heartaches
Tempted and seduced by the mystery of life

No one understand the meaning of life anymore
It’s just about waking up early in the morning
Reading the morning news with a cup of coffee
Or running chasing the time or the time will beat you down
What exactly are we looking for in this life?

People build, people destroy
People lied, people deploy
Cut more trees for us to build a ship
Cut more trees for us to make a home
It’s like pulling each hair in your head
It’s hurt and that’s how the earth might feel

Let us think wise starting from today
Doesn’t it feel so cool, so cozy?
When we sit under a big tree
Don’t we want to share this feeling to our children?
So they can pass it to their next generation

Trees are the pillars of the earth
Its roots can hold it from crumbling
Trees are the umbrella of the earth
Its leaves can keep us from thunder and sunlight
