Tree Life
Tree Life
The big tree so grand that there you stand
With years abound on your trunk
Many seasons to count under your canopy
You must have reason for being there
With your branches so proud, so wide and free
But who knows why you got planted here
Oh but the tales you could tell of protecting all
Winter you bear your broad oak beams for all to see and admire
A resting places on short days for birds and squirrels
Whilst they check the food tables, can they get there before other’s
Owls on a winter’s night do hoot, where’s my night attire
Come the spring your leaves do grow
And camouflage you nice and slow,
All are welcome in your branches
When they will take their chances,
To find the best place that they know
And hoping it will not snow,
Their new families they must bring
Into the world this new spring
