Tree Hugging
Trees stand proud as they reach and sway
Somehow they tether me to ground
Without them I might float away
Never wanting to be found
Standing peaceful and serene
They have seen all in this land
Ground and sky and in between
True grace from nature's own hand
Tied to this Earth on which they stand
Yet gracefully they dance free
Thriving so patiently and grand
Without them we would not be
With nature I have formed a bond
That calms my very soul
Her gift of those trees I am fond
When Nature's hand I hold.
