Tree

My mind is like a rabid beast, On bad thoughts it tends to feast, Of all the humans I am the least, Under everyone I seem to be, Most people cannot see me, I'm only in the way like a tree, Cut down with no reason why, Uprooted an dried, Turned to paper I'm born to die, All I want is to be left alone, Until I am at least full grown, Left in my own little zone, But you see that doesn't happen, While people are at home nappin, My tree branches are snapping, Left alone is all I wanted, But no not me I was hunted, All alone I was confronted, An like that I am no more, My heart in pieces it was tore, Chopped me down but what for, It's okay I understand, Expansion is in huge demand, I just hope someone knows I used to stand, Proudly I stood tall, As I was chopped down by y'all, Until I was left to fall, An that is the end of my story, Like generations before me, Just ashes of my former glory.
