Tree

when a tree falls in the
 forest does it scream?
 the beating
 the tearing
 trees trembling
 up rooted
 under the afternoon sun
 a man
 with heavy saw in hand
 the tear of life
 from you sweet leaf
 oxygen ceases to live
 in the huge mass
 that once breathed it’s
life, now screamed in the forest
 as it fell
