Treasured Spring
On the frigid wings of the northern wind
waned winter with frayed feathers flies away,
clearing haze from shore of sky’s misty mind,
songs of robin bring life on canvas grey.
On emerald donned meadow of grass new,
spectrum from sunburst sky horizon flings.
In sparkling dress dawn drapes grass crowned with dew,
nature spreads tinsel tapestry of spring.
On satin leaves’ cradle blooming buds glow,
with crescendo of color petals dance.
Zephyr ripples fragrance on mellow flow,
butterflies flitter on its tune of trance.
I bask in bliss of beauty nature brings,
thank God for gifting one more treasured spring.
