Treasure Lost

Today I made my way to the lost and found. To find something I thought to have been left behind. I've searched my conscious, my soul, and my mind for evidence. Even a small trace would satisfy me. But, alas, no success. And my heart seeks what my poor eyes cannot see. Searching for the wings of an angel as I stand in shame; not knowing the direction to heaven. I returned to the location where I last had it. Here in this spot: I sat it down, only for a minute. When I came back I was in awe... to discover my treasure had vanished, disappeared and in its vacated lot no clues. Its spot empty, my spirit empty. So Im here standing at this lost and found hoping to find your eyes, praying to see your smile. And as I tarry through each box of memories wishing my hands can once again carress your face; I become fully determined to recover that of which is missing in my life.... Your Love.
