Doppelganger




Treason

Creeping in total darkness,
No wait for any sunshine,
Day he betrayed my true love,
passion bled to death.

All yearnings laid to rest,
bliss was only a deceit,
Wreathed my soul, whipped unsaid words
of treacherousness.

Andrea Dietrich December 8, 2015 at 4:00 PM I liked seeing this one you wrote. If it is not on the winner list, It would probably be for the fact that the second stanza did not make a direct contrast to the first one. Well written!
