Travelling Light

At nowhere’s edge they searched the warm tender horizon Knew it would always be there and turned back their gaze Rain bowed in radiant sun light under a moon’s silent watch Their river flowed in rapid cascades and still reservoir’s tiding And they gathered infinite love and climbed falling waters Floated on compassion and showered nascent togetherness Their boundless souls moved sorrows and ice crusted pain Yet the thaw delivered safe passage and unperturbed joy Gathering drift wood and kindness they bobbed up an down Breathless at times from moving the raft to a delta of passion They shed their clothes and draped sails to promised oceans Never forgot to give serene thanks to their heavenly fortune When night settled they cuddled a fire on beaches’s embrace Nourished and sated desire to the sound of flickering ember Adorned a mangrove of salvation with gratitude and spells Caressed salty skin as well as dew drops in unequivocal hope That stars and comets would give them blessing and compass When dawn called for renewal they kissed and started again 14th February 2020
