Traveling Light

When the world weighs down, I collapse into my mind I can't form real connections because this world has been unkind And no matter what I try it always comes back to this So close I can almost taste it, a reality of bliss But I fall into the water and drown in the ocean And the moon can't pull me out of its motion I fell in alone, and I'll die alone too Just wishing that I could have made it up to you Those nights you feel alone because I am so distant Where you plea in your mind that I was more consistent But the only thing that I have been taught in this life Is that when you get attached you'll be stabbed with a knife So when someone proves that they'll stay by my side I can't help but wander to universes besides The wounds cannot heal, and the scars cannot fade Of true duet's bondage, I'm deathly afraid My heart refuses to relive being broken And who knows if my soul will ever reopen So now I roam through the void without companion And fall deeper and deeper into the bottomless canyon And wherever I go, I'll travel light- Alone and solitary, throughout the night-
