Travel Is the Perfect Teacher

Travel is the perfect teacher
for those with wealth to go

  Aging shelves hold well-worn books
    aboard whose ships I stowed

The best travels we had were with a backpack and very little money. I dare say it would be risky nowadays. Grateful for the times I’ve lived in even though it is now running out. I do love my books too. Thanks GW for this, SuZ

You know what? It was Risky back then too. Capital R. Every generation looks back, I think, and wonders how it made it through alive. Even the snowflakes of today will too. ... And so it goes. Thanks for the interesting comment, Suzanne. Peace and Tranquility, Gershon

Yes, it is Jacob Frank. It is a fantastic book. The research is amazing but the devices used to keep several views working all at once is incredibly skilful. One of those books you don't want to ever end. Elizabeth

I'm going to try this Jacob Frank book soon then. I've read historical accounts of him in textbooks, but not 'in the flesh' of a 'fleshed-out' write, if that makes any sense. Thank you so much for letting me know. Appreciated! ~ gw

Indeed travel is the best teacher…in person and well-traveled books! Since I just visited Tombstone, Arizona, I am reading a book called “Ride the Devil’s Herd,” about Wyatt Earp’s epic battle against “The Cowboys.” Chapter one is so detailed, I am taking notes ;)

Thank you so much for the enthusiasm Elizabeth... Is the book you're reading, 'Jacob,' about Jacob Frank, the false Messiah? I'd be interested in your opinion of it. Thanks! Light and Illumination, Gershon
