Trauma Bleeds Through My Pen

Shall I allow my heart to break its fences
and profusely bare its senses
as my mind feels no fighting chances
the soul divulges the pain’s incenses
trauma bleeds through my pen with no pretences.
*****
Shall I allow my heart to shed its shield
and had its very pulses peeled
with a mind of no power to wield
so majestic the soul to blows yield
trauma bleeds through my pen unable to be sealed.
*****
Shall I allow my words to portray a huge affliction
and conceal each ache with no slight friction
as my pen takes great care with poetic diction
to produce an artistic painting of wonderful depiction
trauma bleeds through my pen in fact and fiction.

Only poets can bare their heart with such poetic beauty and poignancy. When they allow their pen to bleed, emotions are let out freely and mind is purged of all gloom as if a great weight has been lifted. This is the cathartic effect of writing ! Beautifully penned, dear Besma! Loved reading it !

Great, poets do indeed bleed. One must bleed to ink verses that reveal such strong and oft hidden emotions- to bare ones soul and gift unto others. That is the pure essence of poetry- and the pure essence of a true poet, imho. Your poetry rests in that category at a very high level! A fav... God bless....

That is what a true poetess or poet does my good friend and soul sister, we bleed all our emotions through a pen to put down on paper how we feel and sense and appreciate. Sometimes however we need to fly overhead and look down with our soul upon our human form and take cognisance of the fact that the heart within us needs to be free so that our (yours in this instance) pen can bleed both fact and fiction to our readers and the world. All my hugs, and love, dear Besma, Jennifer.

I can understand your trauma. Must have been quite hard to to compose a poem in monorhyme style. Yet I find beauty in your verse.
