Trauma

Trauma is
               a "heavy" word.
Trauma is
               a world beyond hurt.
Trauma is
               sitting idly by.
Trauma is
               darkening of skies.
Trauma is
               blowing season's lies.

For the love of God
               she had to try.
To shake off spasms
               of times gone bye.
Pricking thru skins
               of young beginnings.
Abuse piled
               oh, so, ever loving high.
Why did she ever
                reason to ask why.
Baby, she told herself
                just let it go bye.
Just let it have
                this time to fly.

Holly, this is happening to me too, all the time. I wish that "just let it go by" would help. It just doesn't does it? Speaking about it, everytime you do, removes some of the secrecy, some of the trauma, but will it ever fully disappear?

Those parts of us become our artwork. It's intrinsically woven into our creating. If we can't escape it. Let others appreciate the pain it takes to share such feelings.
