Trapping
Trapping
Like a mouse’s punishing scream in that damn trapping device
Like Charlotte’s web weaving her undying loyalty thousand threads over
Like Juliet vowing her love, drinking every drop of the fatal potion
Like a predator creeping behind his prey at the turn of every dark corner
Unfailingly we all fall victims to life’s trapping
Constructing your own traps as meeting your destiny
The dichotomy of inevitability
Sucking us into this dark hole of swirling water
Reducing life into a singular circular spiraling motion
A trap of no turning back
As life turns its back on us
Attachment, life’s excess baggage
Contains bliss and pain, in unequal measures
But then what’s living without heart shattering
In thousand pieces, every so often
and how can you call yourself a soldier without shedding a few bloods?
Or even a few tears?
Like a drowning child exhausting every limb of her body
Hastily catching the precious breath when her head, for mere seconds
Above the water
Before sinking and spiraling down further
Between every movement of sinking…she touches eternity
